Valentino Megale

Valentino Megale is a tech entrepreneur, TEDx speaker, researcher, author and lecturer focused on XR, simulation technologies and artificial intelligence, with a special focus on digital health and mental well-being. Trained as a biologist with a Ph.D. in Neuropharmacology, he has international academic research experience across Italy, France and Austria in pharmacology, organic chemistry and molecular biology, with a focus on oncology and neuronal metabolism.

He is the Founder and CEO of Softcare Studios, a digital health startup developing virtual reality solutions for drug-free stress and pain management during medical treatments, as well as clinical skill training through immersive simulation. His work connects AI, simulation and real-world product development in high-stakes environments where quality, safety and impact matter.

Valentino advises XRSI on medical XR, digital safety and privacy in the metaverse, and child safety in virtual worlds. He also serves as President of XRSI Europe, contributing to education, research and advocacy around responsible and safe technology applications.

He is a lecturer at Rome Business School, Program Director of the International Master in Artificial Intelligence, and a startup mentor involved in higher education and consulting initiatives focused on digital innovation in business.
